After taking office as Bihar’s Chief Minister, Samrat Choudhary met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. Choudhary expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for the meeting, emphasizing the vision of a ‘Developed India’ and a ‘Prosperous Bihar’. The photographs from the meeting showed both leaders warmly greeting each other.
The meeting is crucial for enhancing coordination between the Centre and Bihar’s new government to boost development initiatives. Discussions between the two leaders focused on Bihar’s current situation and strategies to expedite its development. Governance, Centre-state coordination, and the implementation of key development schemes were key topics of the meeting.
This marks the first instance of a BJP leader assuming the role of Chief Minister in Bihar. Samrat Choudhary was sworn in as Chief Minister on April 15 at the Bihar Lok Bhavan. Prime Minister Modi congratulated Choudhary post the swearing-in ceremony, expressing confidence in his leadership. Choudhary has been actively conducting review meetings since taking office.
During his visit to Takht Sri Harmandir Ji Patna Sahib, Choudhary prayed for peace, harmony, and prosperity in Bihar. The Gurudwara Management Committee honored him with a ceremonial sword, a stole, and a ‘Saropa’ (robe of honor). Recently, Choudhary participated in a ‘Jan Akrosh Mahila Sammelan’ organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party Mahila Morcha in Patna to support the Women’s Reservation Amendment Bill.
