Jasper Jeffers, the commander of the International Stabilization Force (ISF) established under a Gaza peace agreement, revealed plans for a force of 20,000 soldiers collaborating with 12,000 Palestinian police officers in Gaza. Training for both the ISF and Palestinian police will occur in Egypt and Jordan, as announced by Jeffers during the inaugural meeting of the US-proposed Board of Peace.
Countries such as Indonesia, Morocco, Kazakhstan, and Albania, along with Kosovo authorities, have pledged troops to the ISF for deployment in Gaza. However, specific troop numbers and deployment schedules were not disclosed by the US major general.
US President Donald Trump stated that nine nations, including Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and the United Arab Emirates, have collectively pledged $7 billion for Gaza relief, falling significantly short of the estimated $70 billion needed for reconstruction.
