D.K. Shivakumar, the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President, has been inaugurated as the 25th Chief Minister of Karnataka. Alongside him, 13 members of his Council of Ministers, including Deputy Chief Minister G. Parameshwara, took their oaths at a grand ceremony in Bengaluru.

Parameshwara, a veteran Congress leader, assumed the role of Deputy Chief Minister by swearing in the name of B.R. Ambedkar. Known for his composed governance style, he previously held the position of Home Minister in the Siddaramaiah-led government.

Other notable leaders who took their oaths include K.H. Muniyappa, K.J. George, M.B. Patil, Ramalinga Reddy, Satish Jarkiholi, Krishna Byre Gowda, Priyank Kharge, U.T. Khader, Eshwar Khandre, Yathindra Siddaramaiah, Byrathi Suresh, and Sharan Prakash Patil. Each leader invoked different entities or individuals while taking their oaths, reflecting their diverse backgrounds and affiliations.

The swearing-in ceremony, attended by various national and state leaders, marked the beginning of a new era in Karnataka politics. The event was characterized by the presence of senior Congress figures, constitutional authorities, and a large gathering of party supporters.
