A ‘Lav-Kush Park’ is being constructed in Ayodhya with an ‘Art from Waste’ theme, aiming to enhance tourism and cultural heritage. The park, part of the State Smart City Mission, will cost Rs 17.72 crore and feature sculptures, paintings, and installations depicting tales from the Ramayana and Lord Ram’s sons, Luv and Kush. Municipal authorities are focusing on environmental conservation, sustainable development, and cultural preservation through this initiative.
The park will specifically highlight the stories of Lav and Kush from the Ramayana, presented in a modern art style to engage the younger generation with their mythological past. Aligned with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s Smart Cities vision, the project will complement the ongoing development of infrastructure, sanitation, and tourism facilities in Ayodhya. Emphasizing the ‘Art from Waste’ theme, the park will utilize urban waste and scrap materials to create artistic sculptures and installations, offering both aesthetic appeal and educational value.
In addition to being a tourist attraction, the Lav-Kush Park will serve as an educational platform, hosting tours and workshops for students to promote environmental awareness and waste management. Expected to become a significant landmark in Ayodhya, the park will provide visitors with a spiritual and eco-friendly experience, featuring modern amenities and emphasizing the importance of sustainable practices. The project’s commencement is imminent, with a focus on using eco-friendly materials for construction.
