New Zealand Cricket has revealed the schedule for India’s upcoming tour, set to take place from October 22 to December 1. The tour will feature five T20Is, five ODIs, and two Tests, making it the most extensive in-bound tour in NZC history. This will be India’s first Test series in New Zealand since 2019 and their first limited-overs series in the country since 2022.
The tour is part of the celebration of 100 years of sporting relations between New Zealand and India. Christchurch’s Hagley Oval will kick off the tour with two T20Is on October 22 and 24, followed by the second Test starting on November 27. Wellington and other major centers will also host matches, with a total of 12 internationals scheduled.
In addition to the India tour, New Zealand will also host Sri Lanka for three ODIs, three T20Is, and two Tests in January and February. The women’s team will face Bangladesh in December for three T20Is and three ODIs. The home summer will include up to 41 days of international cricket across eight cities in New Zealand.
