“I’ve had some really good conversations with him before the World Cup, during the World Cup and after the World Cup. What we speak about has to remain private, but he’s just a great player and a great person,” Howe stated. When asked about the likelihood of Guimaraes staying at St James’ Park, Howe admitted that he cannot provide any assurances. He emphasized that he is not part of the discussions regarding Guimaraes’ future, hence refraining from speculating on the matter.
Bruno Guimaraes is presently on a break post the World Cup, following Brazil’s exit in the round of 16. The 28-year-old is anticipated to rejoin Newcastle shortly before accompanying the team to their pre-season training camp in Spain.
