The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has issued notices to the Uttar Pradesh government, the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA), and other authorities regarding the construction of an unauthorized police booth on a green belt in Greater Noida. The plea alleges that this construction violates the approved Master Plan.

Rajneesh Chauhan filed an application with the NGT, claiming that illegal construction is taking place on a green belt area in Malakpur village near Lakhnawali Road. The land is designated as a green/recreational belt in the Greater Noida Master Plan, but the Police Department is allegedly building a booth without authorization.

The NGT directed the applicant to provide copies of the application to the respondents and granted four weeks for the respondents to submit their reply affidavits. The tribunal also instructed the applicant to serve the remaining respondents and file an affidavit of service before the next hearing scheduled for September 17.
