The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a supplementary chargesheet in connection with the November 10, 2025, car bomb explosion near the Red Fort, naming three more accused from Jammu and Kashmir. Among them are Zameer Ahmad Ahanger, Tufail Ahmad Bhat, and Muzafar Ahmad, raising the total number of accused in the case to 13, including the deceased prime accused Umer Un Nabi.
Muzafar Ahmed, an absconding accused and a pediatrician, is identified as a key figure in the conspiracy behind the deadly Vehicle-Borne Improvised Explosive Device (VBIED) blast. He was involved in the establishment of the terror module AGuH Interim and played a significant role in the manufacture and safekeeping of explosives.
Zameer, an overground worker of AGuH Interim, and Tufail, a former member of the Lashkar-e-Taiba, have also been charged. Zameer acted as a courier for the terror module, while Tufail served as the arms supplier, providing weapons to the main accused for a sum of Rs 3 lakh.
Efforts are underway to apprehend Muzafar, against whom a Non-Bailable Warrant has been issued. The NIA’s investigation, supported by scientific and forensic analysis, continues to uncover the intricate network of individuals involved in the case.
