In a significant anti-terror operation, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids in Rajasthan, targeting suspected links to Pakistan-based terrorist Shahzad Bhatti and alleged terror-funding activities. The operation involved multiple locations in Rajasthan, including Ajmer and Neemrana. The NIA detained Parmesh Meena in Ajmer after a raid on his rented house in connection with the case.
Following the raids, the NIA team took Parmesh Meena to Delhi for further questioning. Intelligence agencies had received information indicating Meena’s contact with Shahzad Bhatti through social media platforms. The agency seized Meena’s electronic devices and call records during the operation.
In a separate operation in Neemrana, the NIA team raided a labor colony and questioned Nandkishore, father of Shubham Kumar, who was previously arrested with suspicious materials. Nandkishore was taken to Neemrana Police Station for questioning. The NIA searched his residence and seized documents as part of the investigation.
The NIA’s operations are part of a broader crackdown on suspected terror links, particularly related to Shahzad Bhatti’s online network. The agency is investigating possible cross-border connections and foreign funding. Local police and intelligence agencies are actively involved in monitoring and supporting the ongoing investigations.
