The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted coordinated raids in Jharkhand’s Lohardaga district related to the petrol bomb attack on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) office in Ranchi. The raids involved searching suspects’ premises and examining digital devices and documents.
A team from NIA, along with local police and central security forces, reached Lohardaga early Thursday to search various locations connected to the attack. The searches were carried out at residences and hideouts of individuals suspected to be involved in the incident.
During the operation, mobile phones, laptops, digital storage devices, and documents were scrutinized, with some materials seized for further technical and forensic analysis. The agency also searched premises associated with Saif Ansari and Aman Ansari, who are in judicial custody in connection with the case.
Security was heightened in the area as the search operation progressed, with investigators focusing on gathering evidence to uncover the network behind the attack and any potential wider conspiracy. The seized digital material is being analyzed by NIA to understand communication patterns among those allegedly linked to the incident.
No official statement has been released by NIA regarding the raids conducted on Thursday. The attack on the RSS office occurred on June 16, leading to the case being transferred from local police to NIA for investigation. Earlier raids in Lohardaga on June 19 were also part of the ongoing probe, with Thursday’s operation seen as a continuation of the investigation.
