Teams from the National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted searches at various locations in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday related to the 2025 Red Fort explosion case. The NIA, along with J&K Police and CRPF, raided a businessman’s residence in Handwara’s Guloora area in connection with the blast. Searches are ongoing at nine places across the union territory, as stated by the agency.
The NIA carried out raids at six locations in Srinagar, Baramulla, Kupwara, and Kulgam districts linked to individuals arrested in connection with the Red Fort blast. Dr. Bilal Naseer Malla’s residence in Baramulla and another location in Kupwara were searched. The investigation into the bomb blast case has led to the apprehension of 11 individuals, including doctors.
The main accused, Dr. Umer Un Nabi, died in the explosion. The attack, which occurred on November 10, 2025, at the Red Fort in Delhi, was attributed to a group of professionals, including doctors from Al-Falah University, associated with transnational organizations like Jaish-e-Mohammad and Ansar Ghazwat-ul Hind. This incident highlighted a potential shift towards urban-embedded operations by militant groups, exploiting metropolitan networks within the country.
