The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted a search at Zeeshan’s residence in Jodhpur, suspected of being linked to ISIS. The search, lasting nearly two hours, led to the seizure of a motorcycle, later handed over to the Sadar Bazar police station. Zeeshan was arrested earlier in 2026 for alleged terrorist involvement and was later taken into NIA custody.
During the operation, NIA officials, with local police assistance, thoroughly searched the house for information on Zeeshan’s associates, neighbors, and bank accounts. Investigators found objectionable chats and videos on Zeeshan’s mobile phone post his arrest, indicating his use of social media to recruit for ISIS. Allegations suggest he managed a social media group named ‘Benex’ to radicalize youths.
It was revealed that Zeeshan had acquired multiple mobile SIM cards under different identities, some registered under his parents’ names, to operate his network. After his arrest, the SIM cards were blocked, hindering communication retrieval. Subsequently, NIA questioned Zeeshan’s parents, and the SIM cards were reactivated for further investigation. Local police await updates on the agency’s next steps, hinting at potential questioning of other suspects.
