American pop-singer Nick Jonas recently shared details about his daughter Malti’s difficult birth on the On Purpose podcast. Malti arrived earlier than expected and needed to be resuscitated immediately after birth, weighing just 1 pound, 11 ounces.
Malti spent close to 100 days in a neonatal intensive care unit, with Nick expressing gratitude for the NICU staff who saved her life. He described the challenging times during the COVID era when he and his wife took turns spending long hours at the hospital.
Nick praised the NICU nurses as “truly angels” for their care and support during this trying period. Despite the tough start, he mentioned that Malti, born in January 2022 via surrogate, is now thriving and embracing life with gratitude and excitement.
