Nico O’Reilly netted two goals, propelling Manchester City to a 2-1 triumph over Newcastle United, reducing the Premier League gap with Arsenal to just two points. O’Reilly’s first-half brace, sandwiched between Lewis Hall’s deflected equalizer, showcased City’s dominance. The victory marked City’s 500th home Premier League goal since the 2016-17 season, surpassing Liverpool by 67 goals.

City’s resilient defense secured the win, extending their unbeaten home streak against Newcastle to an impressive 17 matches. Meanwhile, Aston Villa settled for a 1-1 draw with Leeds United, as Anton Stach’s free kick was countered by Tammy Abraham’s late equalizer. Chelsea’s top-four aspirations were thwarted by Burnley’s injury-time goal, resulting in a 1-1 stalemate at Stamford Bridge.

Brighton claimed a crucial 2-0 victory over Brentford, with Diego Gomez and Danny Welbeck finding the net in the first half. West Ham and Bournemouth played out a goalless draw, leaving West Ham languishing in the relegation zone.
