Former Chief Minister and Rajya Sabha member Nitish Kumar extended his congratulations to Samrat Choudhary for being sworn in as the 24th Chief Minister of Bihar. This marks a new political era in the state with Choudhary becoming the first BJP leader to hold this position. Additionally, JD(U) leaders Vijay Kumar Chaudhary and Vijendra Prasad Yadav were appointed as Deputy Chief Ministers in the new cabinet.
Nitish Kumar took to social media to convey his best wishes to Samrat Choudhary on assuming office as the Chief Minister. He expressed confidence in Choudhary’s leadership, believing that Bihar will progress rapidly under his guidance and eventually become one of the most developed states in the country.
Following his resignation on April 14, Nitish Kumar reflected on his tenure and Bihar’s developmental journey. He mentioned the formation of the NDA government in Bihar in 2005, focusing on governance and development. Kumar highlighted his government’s efforts towards inclusive growth, catering to all sections of society regardless of caste, class, or religion.
In his message, Nitish Kumar outlined the advancements made in various sectors such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, electricity, agriculture, and initiatives for women and youth. He emphasized the ‘7 Nishchay-3’ program aimed at accelerating Bihar’s development and propelling it to new heights by 2030.
Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the Centre’s support, Nitish Kumar stated that Bihar’s progress is a result of strong cooperation. He expressed optimism about Bihar’s future, envisioning it as a leading state contributing significantly to the nation’s advancement. Kumar assured his full support and guidance to the new government, believing Bihar will continue to prosper under the new leadership.
