Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, as part of his Samriddhi Yatra, visited Vaishali district and initiated 25 development projects valued at Rs 54 crore. He also inaugurated 103 schemes worth Rs 98 crore during the visit. Accompanied by several officials and dignitaries, Kumar inspected various initiatives, including the emergency ward of the Government Medical College in Mahua and local start-up stalls.
During the tour, Kumar reviewed the desilting work of the Via River and emphasized schemes introduced under the Samriddhi Yatra. He distributed cheques to beneficiaries of welfare programs and addressed the public, highlighting his administration’s accomplishments over nearly two decades. Kumar contrasted the current state of Bihar with the situation before 2005, emphasizing the improvements in infrastructure and security.
The Chief Minister conducted a review meeting with district officials, urging them to ensure timely completion and quality in ongoing projects. The Samriddhi Yatra, which commenced on January 16, covered multiple districts, with the first phase concluding in Vaishali. The second phase is set to start on January 27, with visits planned to Darbhanga, Madhubani, and other districts.
