Amid the 359th Prakash Parv celebrations in Patna, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar visited Takht Sri Harimandir Ji Patna Sahib Gurdwara. He prayed for peace, prosperity, and well-being of the state, bowing his head in reverence. Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, JDU working president Sanjay Jha, and Minister Ashok Chaudhary were also present.
The Chief Minister, along with other ministers, received a warm welcome from the Takht Sri Harimandir Ji Management Committee. They were presented with a traditional siropa. Nitish Kumar offered prayers at the sanctum of Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj, seeking blessings for Bihar’s continued progress. Takht Sri Harimandir Ji is known for its religious significance as the birthplace of Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Guru of the Sikhs.
Guru Gobind Singh, born in Patna in 1666, played a crucial role in shaping Sikhism by establishing the Khalsa Panth. The Takht Sri Harimandir Ji is one of the five sacred Takhts of Sikhism and attracts millions of devotees annually. Following the religious visit, the Chief Minister inspected the under-construction tunnel connecting Bihar Museum and Patna Museum.
During the inspection, officials updated him on the project’s progress. Nitish Kumar emphasized efficient and timely completion of the tunnel construction. He highlighted the importance of the tunnel, which will enhance visitors’ experience between the two museums. The Chief Minister also visited the Bihar Museum, reviewing various galleries and exhibits, and inquired about visitor facilities.
Additionally, he assessed the redevelopment progress of the Officers’ Campus, aiming to improve accommodation facilities for officers. Nitish Kumar stressed the timely completion and quality execution of all ongoing projects. This underscores the government’s commitment to preserving cultural heritage and developing infrastructure in Bihar.
