No foreign power can stop India’s rise: Maha CM

Mumbai, Aug 10 (IANS) Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday asserted that no force can obstruct India’s march toward becoming a global superpower.

He said India has emerged as the world’s fourth‑largest economy under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The country is competing globally in Information Technology (IT), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies, while also achieving historic milestones such as landing a spacecraft on the Moon’s south pole.

CM Fadnavis was speaking at the ‘Tiranga Rally’ organised by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the run‑up to Independence Day. During the event, he delivered a spirited address and sang a patriotic song.

Reflecting on the turnout, he remarked that he could see two oceans, the Indian Ocean in front of him and a vast ocean of the Tricolour created by citizens. He declared that as long as the sun and moon exist, the national flag will remain flying high.

Noting that India now possesses the world’s largest youth population, Fadnavis said certain foreign forces fear India’s rapid progress and are attempting to meddle in its internal affairs to halt its trajectory.

He warned these external elements that they lack the strength to stop the nation’s youth or obstruct India’s rise to superpower status.

Emphasising unity above caste, creed and religion, Fadnavis urged citizens to work together over the next two decades to realise PM Modi’s vision of a fully developed nation (Viksit Bharat) by 2047.

Drawing a parallel to August 9, 1942, he said that while the historic movement was about ‘Quit India’ against British rule, today’s call is a ‘Do or Die’ revolution for a developed India, signalling to anti‑India forces to leave.

Extending his greetings for the upcoming Independence Day, Fadnavis called upon citizens to carry the Tricolour forward with a unified resolve for national progress.
