Days after the workers’ protest in Noida caused turmoil, new revelations suggest external influences incited violence. An investigation found that over one crore rupees were transacted into an accused individual’s bank account, with funds arriving in US dollars, British pounds, and euros. Satyam Verma and Aakriti, associated with Mazdoor Bigul Dasta, face National Security Act charges for their roles in the violent protests on April 13 in Noida.
The police attribute a significant role to the accused in fueling the unrest and disrupting public order during the protests. The ongoing probe by the Commissionerate Police uncovered that one of the accused received substantial funds in foreign currencies, which were promptly transferred to personal accounts. Authorities are now scrutinizing potential connections between the accused, various organizations, and foreign funding sources.
The investigation delves into the accused’s bank accounts, fund origins, and subsequent transactions. Law enforcement has taken action against those involved in the violent incidents that marred the recent labor movement in Noida. Following clashes stemming from wage disputes, cases of arson, vandalism, and unrest were reported across industrial areas like Phase 2 and Sector 62. Multiple arrests were made in connection with the agitation to restore order and address the aftermath of the protests.
