Nottingham Forest secured a 3-0 penalty win against FC Midtjylland in the UEFA Europa League Round of 16 after a 2-1 victory at the MCH Arena. The Reds turned the tie around following their 1-0 win in the first leg at the City Ground. Forest maintained a perfect penalty record while the home team missed their chances, leading to Forest’s progression.

Forest dominated the game from the start, with Dilane Bakwa and Yates creating early opportunities. Despite Midtjylland’s efforts, Forest’s pressure continued, with Lorenzo Lucca and Morato coming close to scoring. Yates and Lucca had chances, but Forest finally broke the deadlock with Dominguez’s goal, leveling the tie and sending Forest ahead.

In another match, Aston Villa advanced to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Europa League with a 2-0 victory over LOSC Lille. Captain John McGinn’s goal and Leon Bailey’s late strike secured a 3-0 aggregate win for Villa. McGinn’s goal marked his ninth in major European competitions, matching a club record. Villa’s victory sets up a quarter-final clash with either AS Roma or Bologna.
