Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi emphasized the enhanced grievance redressal mechanism, leading to a notable increase in grievance resolution rates. Speaking at the 19th public grievance hearing in Bhubaneswar, he mentioned that 96% of complaints received at the State-level grievance cell have been successfully addressed. Majhi stated that continuous monitoring of grievances at various levels has bolstered public trust in the system.

The Chief Minister highlighted the proactive approach taken by district collectors and superintendents of police in addressing public grievances at the local level. By the end of June, over 259,000 grievances were heard at the district level, with an impressive 89% resolution rate. Majhi, known for his hands-on approach, met individuals with disabilities and serious illnesses outside the grievance cell, ensuring immediate action on their concerns.

Additionally, CM Majhi sanctioned medical aid worth Rs 6.15 lakh for 12 individuals facing critical health issues through the Single Window System. The government’s commitment to addressing public issues was reiterated, with a focus on serving the common people. Noteworthy was the presence of six senior ministers alongside the Chief Minister, actively engaging with public grievances.
