Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi recently toured major manufacturing facilities in Khordha district, showcasing the government’s support for various sectors. The visit included Trimetro Garments, a Hong Kong-based apparel manufacturer, which invested around Rs 376 crore in a cutting-edge facility in Khordha. This project, operational in less than a year, has created over 7,000 jobs, primarily for women, and is producing garments for the global brand Uniqlo.

Majhi also inspected Anadrone Systems Private Limited at Mundamba Industrial Park, a key player in defense manufacturing. With an investment of Rs 96.86 crore, the company employs 165 people and specializes in advanced defense systems. The Chief Minister observed the production of various defense equipment at the Khordha facility, emphasizing the importance of such strategic manufacturing for the region.

During his visits, Majhi engaged with promoters, officials, and workers, discussing operations, employment prospects, and future growth strategies. He highlighted the need for skill development among Odisha’s youth and stressed the significance of local job opportunities. Majhi assured measures for the safety and welfare of female employees, including plans for modern hostels and eco-friendly transport services.

Expressing his commitment to providing quality employment within Odisha, Majhi emphasized the government’s dedication to monitoring industrial projects closely for timely implementation and maximum societal benefits.
