Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi strongly denounced the recent barbaric assault on a young man from Odisha by a group of four individuals in Tiruttani, Tamil Nadu. The Chief Minister assured that the victim will receive top-notch treatment and the perpetrators will face severe consequences. He emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring the safety and dignity of all Odia citizens, especially those working outside the state.

Senior BJD leader Prasanna Acharya also expressed deep concern over the vicious attack on an Odia laborer in Tamil Nadu, labeling it as deeply disturbing and unacceptable. He called for both state administrations to safeguard migrant workers and enforce strict legal measures against the offenders. Acharya stressed the need for creating more job opportunities locally to prevent distress migration and improve worker safety standards.

The incident involved four 17-year-old boys who were apprehended for brutally assaulting a 20-year-old Odia man near Tiruttani railway station. The victim, identified as K Suraj, has sparked widespread outrage over the incident.
