Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi viewed a special premiere of the Hindi film ‘Godaan’ at his official residence before its national release. Following the screening, CM Majhi revealed plans to make the movie tax-free in Odisha. Additionally, he disclosed the establishment of two research centers, ‘Go Asundhan Kendra,’ focusing on indigenous cow breeds and cow-related products.
The Chief Minister highlighted the historical significance portrayed in ‘Godaan,’ emphasizing the cow protection movement and the sacrifices made by priests and social reformers. He praised the film for its depiction of India’s cultural values, traditions, and the importance of cow protection. Majhi commended the movie for showcasing the central role of cows in Sanatan Dharma and Indian family values.
Furthermore, CM Majhi discussed the educational value of ‘Godaan,’ noting its potential to instill moral values and cultural awareness, especially among children and families. He underscored the benefits of traditional practices like Panchagavya, promoting sustainable living and healthier lifestyles. The Chief Minister also announced plans to introduce a robust Cow Protection Law in Odisha to strengthen cow welfare.
