Odisha Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan accused anti-national elements of fueling the student unrest in New Delhi and advised students to steer clear of those tarnishing India’s image globally. He defended the government’s handling of the NEET paper leak issue, emphasizing swift action against the culprits upon discovery.

Harichandan highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s assurance of prioritizing students’ welfare and ensuring swift justice for those involved in the question paper leak scandal. He mentioned the establishment of fast-track courts for expeditious trials and timely punishment.

The minister commended the smooth conduct of the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination, applauding the arrangements at examination centers and congratulating successful Odisha students. Questioning the necessity of ongoing protests, he raised concerns over the motives behind the agitation in Delhi and the ‘Sansad Chalo Abhiyan’.

Harichandan questioned the affiliations of protest leader Abhijit Deepke, linking him to the Aam Aadmi Party and alleging political backing from Congress, AAP, and Left parties. He criticized these groups for allegedly exploiting student sentiments for their political gains and accused them of colluding with anti-national forces to discredit India.

Emphasizing students as the pillars of a developed India, the minister urged them to avoid divisive forces and political exploitation. He encouraged constructive engagement with the government for educational improvements instead of resorting to protests.
