The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) announced the results of the Odisha Civil Services Examination-2024, with 200 candidates passing, including 78 women. The successful candidates comprise 70 from the unreserved category, 35 from the Socially and Economically Backward Classes (SEBC), 45 from the Scheduled Castes (SC), and 50 from the Scheduled Tribes (ST).
The examination process includes three stages: Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Interview. The recruitment notification for the Odisha Civil Services Examination-2024 was released on December 31, 2024, for a total of 200 positions, with 65 reserved for women candidates.
In 2026, a total of 2,058 candidates, including 707 women, took the Main Examination. Following this, 385 candidates, including 155 women, underwent document verification and interviews at the OPSC office in Cuttack from May 14 to May 20, 2026.
The OPSC has recommended 200 candidates, including 78 women, for appointment through the Odisha Civil Services Examination-2024. Bubun Sahoo, from the SEBC category, secured the top position among the successful candidates.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati extended their congratulations to the candidates. Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati emphasized hard work, perseverance, and commitment to public service, while Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi urged the candidates to embrace public service with transparency and accountability for the welfare of the people.
