Singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo recently shared details of a wild night out she had with Charli XCX, known as “the ultimate party girl.” Olivia found herself at what she believed was a rave with Charli XCX, feeling a bit out of place but still having a great time. Speaking on BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge, Olivia laughed as she reminisced about the surreal evening with the 33-year-old singer.
Olivia was on the show to perform a stripped-back cover of CMAT’s “When A Good Man Cries,” which she collaborated on with her father. She expressed her enjoyment of the song, describing it as twangy and country with unique and awesome lyrics. The 23-year-old pop star, currently on a world tour, took the opportunity to appreciate her support acts, Wolf Alice and The Last Dinner Party, whom she considers amazing and inspiring musicians.
Olivia recently revealed her desire to show that she can write good songs without being miserable. Despite her success with breakup songs, her new album, “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love,” marks a departure from her previous releases.
