Singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo will drop the first single, “Drop Dead,” from her upcoming third album on April 17, 2026. Her new album, “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love,” is set for release on June 12. Rodrigo collaborated with producer Dan Nigro on this album, known for their work on her previous albums, “Sour” and “Guts.”

Rodrigo hinted at the album’s theme of “sad love songs” in a recent British Vogue interview. Despite the melancholic tone, she found it creatively challenging to write from a place of joy. The singer also expressed her fondness for British culture, revealing her desire to “half move” to the UK in the future.

During her time in London for the album’s production, Rodrigo drew inspiration from the city, incorporating its vibes into her music. She emphasized that the new album, OR3, reflects a more vulnerable and personal side of her artistry, showcasing a different facet of her musical expression.
