Esha’s journey to victory began with a strong qualification round where she secured the fourth spot. Her compatriots, Manu Bhaker and Rahi Sarnobat, also participated but finished lower in the rankings. Ashi Chouksey narrowly missed the finals in the women’s 50m rifle 3 positions event. Despite a commendable performance, she finished 10th, falling short by just one point. The competition saw Norway’s Jeanette Hegg Duestad claim the gold medal.
Thursday’s events at the Munich World Cup will feature the women’s 10m air rifle final. Indian shooters Elavenil Valarivan, Arya Borse, and Sakshi Padekar will aim to continue India’s success in the competition.
