Deepika Kumari, Atanu Das, and other sports personalities from Bengal gathered at the Sports Authority of India’s Kolkata Regional Centre for the final Fit India Sundays on Cycle event of 2025. The event, the 54th edition, featured a festive celebration with around 1,500 participants, creating a vibrant atmosphere of movement and community spirit.

The event in Kolkata saw a diverse group of participants, including athletes, professionals, students, CISF jawans, insurance company employees, and people of all ages, coming together for a morning focused on fitness and active lifestyles. Olympians and Arjuna Awardees like Deepika Kumari, Joydeep Karmakar, and Mangal Singh Champia inaugurated the event, emphasizing the importance of daily fitness for overall well-being.

Deepika highlighted the significance of maintaining fitness daily, not just on Sundays, stressing the importance of energy and strength in both sports and personal life. Joydeep encouraged people to adopt disciplined fitness routines, pointing out the positive impact of initiatives like Sundays on Cycle in promoting healthier habits. The event featured various high-energy activities, including cycling, Zumba, yoga performances, and more, keeping the participants engaged despite the winter weather.
