One person died, and three others were severely hurt in a tragic accident on National Highway-43 in Shahdol district, Madhya Pradesh. The incident occurred when a speeding 16-wheeler trailer truck crashed into a family of four riding a motorcycle. The deceased was an elderly woman, while her daughter, son-in-law, and one-year-old granddaughter suffered critical injuries.
The victims, identified as Rekha Yadav, Aanchal Yadav, Neeraj Yadav, and the infant granddaughter, were returning from Markhi Mata Temple when the collision happened near Mauhari Dai Temple. The trailer truck, traveling at high speed, collided forcefully with the motorcycle, dragging it along the road. The impact was so intense that the elderly woman was thrown off the motorcycle and tragically run over by the trailer.
Following the accident, the injured family members were promptly taken to a nearby hospital by local residents. Doctors treating them have expressed concerns about their critical condition, citing potential internal injuries and fractures. Meanwhile, the driver of the trailer truck fled the scene after abandoning the vehicle, prompting a search operation by the police to locate and apprehend the driver.
