Opposition parties in Maharashtra celebrated the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, calling it a significant win for the country’s youth. The resignation followed a 28-day protest by youth at Jantar Mantar in Delhi over the NEET paper leak, showcasing their determination against injustice.
Sharad Pawar, NCP-SP President, praised the youth’s resilience and credited their protest for Pradhan’s resignation, emphasizing the triumph of democracy. The opposition MPs were also acknowledged for their support to the youth during the protest, highlighting the unity of the younger generation in the nation.
Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut expressed that Pradhan’s resignation signifies that even powerful figures like Modi and Shah are not immune to change. Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar criticized the government’s response to public discontent, emphasizing the artificial nature of the support garnered through social media.
NCP-SP MLA Rohit Pawar applauded the students’ perseverance, attributing Pradhan’s resignation to their collective efforts. He highlighted the success of the movement in holding the government accountable and emphasized the power of unity in challenging injustice.
Maharashtra Congress Chief Harshwardhan Sapkal viewed Pradhan’s resignation as a positive step but stressed that true victory would only come with accountability for those responsible for the paper leaks. NCP-SP Working President Supriya Sule echoed the sentiment, emphasizing the significance of the youth’s unity in bringing about change.
