Opposition leaders have stated that they will persist with their protest demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan due to the NEET paper leak unless the government agrees to an adjournment motion in Parliament. They had previously requested the government to accept the motion to enable a discussion on the matter.

Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav emphasized the need for the minister’s resignation, addressing the concerns of students and youth, and ensuring justice for affected individuals. He warned that the agitation would persist until these demands are met, highlighting the broader issue of multiple paper leaks across the country.

Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra criticized the system, questioning the state of democracy and expressing solidarity with the students. She stressed the significance of the protest, emphasizing the genuine problems faced by students, parents, and teachers nationwide. Priyanka Gandhi called for a detailed discussion on the adjournment motion in light of the government’s actions.

Accusing the government of insensitivity, Congress MP KC Venugopal advocated for the suspension of regular House proceedings to address the issue directly through an adjournment motion. He underscored the importance of the government displaying sensitivity towards the matter by engaging in meaningful discussions. Venugopal outlined key demands, including the removal of the Education Minister and a thorough investigation into related incidents.
