Opposition MPs protested at Makar Dwar in Parliament, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan due to the NEET paper leak. The demonstration saw Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and other leaders holding banners against the Education Minister.
Simultaneously, the NDA staged a counter-demonstration at Makar Dwar, accusing the Opposition of politicizing the issue. The government claimed readiness for a discussion on examination irregularities but criticized the Opposition for disrupting proceedings.
The Opposition persisted in its call for Pradhan’s resignation, reacting to PM Modi’s proposal for fast-track courts for paper leak cases. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra criticized the PM’s response, emphasizing the students’ demand for Pradhan’s resignation.
Congress MP Venugopal questioned the PM’s credibility, urging concrete actions over mere assurances. Hibi Eden highlighted the need for accountability, citing past paper leaks and demanding the Education Minister’s removal.
Selja Kumari echoed the call for tangible actions, emphasizing the importance of restoring public trust through substantial measures rather than promises.
