More than 15.27 lakh students in Gujarat are set to take the Class 10 and 12 board exams from February 26. The state government in Gandhinagar conducted a review meeting to ensure preparedness for the exams. Education Minister Dr. Pradyuman Vaja chaired the meeting at the Vidya Samiksha Kendra, attended by various officials including Minister of State for Education Rivaba Jadeja.
The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) finalized the exam schedule. Around 9 lakh students will appear for Class 10 exams from February 26 to March 18. Concurrently, over 5 lakh Class 12 General Stream students will also take their exams during this period. Additionally, the Class 12 Science Stream exams, involving more than 1.19 lakh candidates, will be held from February 26 to March 16.
Moreover, a significant number of students, exceeding 1.35 lakh, are expected to participate in the GUJCET-2026 examination. Dr. Vaja assured that all necessary arrangements have been made to provide a conducive and stress-free environment for the students during the exams. He emphasized the importance of treating exams as a celebration and ensuring students face no mental stress or fear.
