Veteran actress Padmini Kolhapure recently shared a heartfelt rendition of her old song “Madhuban Khushboo Deta Hai” on Instagram. The song is from her 1978 movie “Saajan Bina Suhagan.” Fans showered love on her post with red hearts and emojis in the comments. Kolhapure captioned the post with “Just for you” and a smiley face emoji.
In the movie, “Saajan Bina Suhagan,” which was produced and directed by Saawan Kumar Tak, Kolhapure starred alongside Rajendra Kumar, Nutan, Vinod Mehra, and Shreeram Lagoo. The song “Madhuban Khushboo Deta Hai” was sung by Yesudas, Anuradha Paudwal, and Hemlata, with music composed by Usha Khanna. The film was remade in Tamil as “Mangala Nayagi” in 1980 and in Malayalam as “Oru Kochukatha Aarum Parayathe Katha” in 1984.
This is not the first time Kolhapure has showcased her singing talent. Earlier, she sang “Yeh galiyan yeh chaubara” from her 1982 film “Prem Rog” with singer Shreya Ghoshal on the singing reality show “Indian Idol.” Ghoshal praised Kolhapure for her graceful rendition, calling her “multi-talented” and amazing. Kolhapure shared the video on social media, appreciating Ghoshal for delivering melodies that touch the soul.
