The network’s objective is to assemble a group of social media operatives to conduct a large-scale disinformation campaign against India.
The Bhatti network is aiming to recruit Indian youth who can promote propaganda and disseminate false information across various social media platforms. Intelligence Bureau officials have highlighted that the syndicate is exploiting susceptible youth to join its ranks. Operating discreetly, the network’s mission is to exploit vulnerabilities and sensitive issues in India, inciting violence.
Officials have revealed that the network is instructed to concentrate on issues relevant to the youth and magnify them through a disinformation campaign. Bhatti runs several India-focused campaigns through specialized modules tasked with targeted killings, gathering sensitive information, and executing terror activities. The network’s expansion in Uttar Pradesh is particularly concerning as it is solely dedicated to launching a massive disinformation campaign against India.
