The Pakistan women’s cricket team is set to visit Sri Lanka next month for a six-match white-ball series, including three ODIs and three T20Is, as announced by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). All the matches will take place at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium in Hambantota. The ODIs are scheduled for July 23, 25, and 28, forming part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2025-2029 cycle.
The current standings show Pakistan in second place with eight points from six matches, winning four games. New Zealand leads the table with 13 points, having played three more matches than Pakistan. Sri Lanka holds the third spot with eight points from six games, also securing four wins but placed below Pakistan due to differences in net run rate. The tour will wrap up with three T20Is on July 31, August 2, and August 4, respectively.
Both Pakistan and Sri Lanka are currently in the United Kingdom for the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, starting on June 12 and ending on July 5. Pakistan is in Group A alongside India, Australia, Bangladesh, South Africa, and the Netherlands. Sri Lanka, on the other hand, is in Group B with England, New Zealand, the West Indies, Ireland, and Scotland. In the upcoming series in Hambantota, the teams will have the opportunity to earn valuable ODI Championship points.
