Javier Eduardo Martinez-Acha Vasquez, Panama’s Foreign Affairs Minister, is scheduled to visit India from July 19 to July 23. The Ministry of External Affairs announced this official visit, where Martinez-Acha Vasquez will engage in various meetings. Upon his arrival on Sunday, he will meet with Piyush Goyal, Minister for Commerce and Industry, and S Jaishankar, the External Affairs Minister, on Monday.
During his stay, the Foreign Minister will participate in programs in Delhi on Tuesday and hold discussions with Sarbananda Sonowal, Minister of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, at Transport Bhavan on Wednesday. The visit will conclude with his departure from India on Thursday. Additionally, India’s Ambassador to Panama, Sumit Seth, recently met with Martinez-Acha Vasquez to explore avenues for enhancing the bilateral relationship between the two countries.
Martinez-Acha Vasquez has previously voiced his stance against terrorism and expressed solidarity with India during a reception hosted by the Indian Ambassador to Panama. Last year, he reiterated Panama’s support for India’s anti-terrorism efforts during a meeting with an Indian Parliamentary delegation. Jose Raul Mulino Quintero, Panama’s President, also conveyed his backing for India’s fight against terrorism during discussions with the delegation.
