Playback singer Papon, renowned for hits like ‘Bulleya’ and ‘Jiyein Kyun’, has ventured into Odia music with his latest release ‘Kuni Kuni’. This romantic song beautifully captures themes of love and longing, blending soft melodies with poetic lyrics. Papon expressed his excitement about exploring a new linguistic and musical space by singing in Odia for the first time.

Opening up about his Odia singing experience, Papon shared that adapting to the language’s dialect required a deep understanding of its pronunciation, rhythm, and cultural nuances. He described Odia as a language with a gentle flow and emotional softness, enabling him to connect authentically with the song’s sentiment. The lyrics for ‘Kuni Kuni’ were penned by Sunil Parida, with music composed by Bharat-Hitarth.

Reflecting on his journey with Odia music, Papon expressed gratitude towards his Odia fans for their love and support. He hoped that the sincerity and warmth infused into ‘Kuni Kuni’ would resonate with listeners and create lasting memories. Notably, ‘Kuni Kuni’ marks Papon’s 11th language as a singer, adding to his repertoire that includes Assamese, Hindi, Bengali, and others.
