A Patna civil court has deferred its decision on the anticipatory bail application of renowned coaching educator Faisal Khan, also known as Khan Sir, regarding a dispute involving another coaching operator, Roshan Anand. The court proceedings, held in the presence of District and Sessions Judge Rupesh Dev, involved detailed arguments from both sides. The hearing primarily focused on the bail plea filed by Khan Sir and his two bodyguards, addressing key issues such as the firearm license of one of the bodyguards.
The court had previously heard arguments on Tuesday, which extended for about 40 minutes without reaching a conclusion. As a result, the court scheduled a follow-up session for Wednesday to finalize the remaining submissions. After considering the arguments presented by both parties, the court has reserved its judgment on the matter. Advocate Rajat Singh, representing Khan Sir, highlighted that the court emphasized the need for a prompt resolution due to the prolonged pendency of the case.
The dispute originated from an altercation on June 2 at Patna’s Kadamkuan police station involving Khan Sir and Roshan Anand of Gyan Bindu GS Academy. Allegations of assault on a security guard and property damage surfaced from the incident. Khan Sir accused Anand of instigating the attack, which was reportedly captured in a widely circulated video on social media. Subsequently, legal actions were initiated, leading to the submission of the anticipatory bail plea by Khan Sir and his associates. With the conclusion of arguments, the court is set to announce its decision on the bail plea on July 10.
