The Patna Police have uncovered a suspected prostitution ring operating from a hotel in the Gandhi Maidan area of Patna. During a recent raid, officers rescued 10 women and detained a man for questioning. The operation was conducted based on specific intelligence inputs within the jurisdiction of the Gandhi Maidan Police Station.
A tip-off alerted the police to the organized prostitution activities at the hotel, prompting a thorough search of the premises. The rescued women, mostly from West Bengal and Delhi, have been placed under protective custody. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding their presence in Patna to ascertain if they were victims of trafficking or coercion.
In addition to rescuing the women, police also seized objectionable items, including liquor bottles, from the hotel. Electronic devices found on the premises are being examined for evidence to identify other individuals involved in the alleged network.
