Digital payments platform PhonePe has introduced a time-limited promotion for its recently launched co-branded credit card with State Bank of India. The PhonePe SBI Card is now available with no joining fee for the first year, enabling users to enjoy its perks without any initial expenses. This card, accessible on both RuPay and Visa networks, is designed for digitally active individuals who engage in frequent online transactions.

A notable feature of this card is its universal rewards system, providing 5% rewards on all online purchases, irrespective of the brand or seller. This feature makes the card an attractive choice for individuals seeking to maximize benefits from their everyday digital expenditures. Moreover, customers can earn 10% rewards on specific categories within the PhonePe ecosystem, including mobile top-ups, utility bill payments, and other regular transactions.

Furthermore, the card offers similar advantages for insurance premium payments conducted through the platform, assisting users in saving on essential costs. For offline transactions, especially via UPI, the RuPay version of the card offers 1% rewards on scan-and-pay transactions, making even small payments more rewarding. Additionally, the card includes travel perks like complimentary access to domestic airport lounges up to four times annually without any spending threshold.

Users also receive a two-year Priority Pass membership, granting them access to international airport lounges. The reward points accumulated through the card can be directly redeemed against the credit card bill, with each point valued at Rs 1. This feature enables users to offset their monthly statements, enhancing the card’s overall value proposition. The application process for the PhonePe SBI Card is entirely digital and can be completed through the PhonePe app, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for users.
