Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal emphasized the need for increased cooperation between India and Estonia in trade, investment, innovation, and technology. He made these remarks at the India–Estonia Business Forum in Tallinn during his official visit to Estonia. The forum aimed to enhance bilateral economic cooperation and strengthen commercial ties between the two nations.
During the event, Estonia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Margus Tsahkna, welcomed the participants, followed by an address from Piyush Goyal. Goyal highlighted India’s economic growth in the last two decades, positioning it as one of the world’s fastest-growing major economies. He attributed this growth to ongoing reforms, a growing manufacturing sector, and a thriving innovation environment.
Goyal also underlined India’s favorable investment climate and growth prospects, inviting Estonian companies to collaborate across various sectors. He emphasized the potential for long-term partnerships given India’s industrial capabilities and technology-driven economy. The forum included discussions on expanding trade, increasing investments, and fostering innovation partnerships between the two countries.
