Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal accused Rahul Gandhi and the Gandhi family of repeatedly compromising national interests. Goyal, speaking at a press conference in Delhi, criticized the Congress party’s corruption and its history of compromising the country’s interests under foreign pressure. He labeled Rahul Gandhi as a symbol of negative politics, highlighting his alleged disregard for established norms during foreign trips.
Goyal further claimed that Rahul Gandhi’s actions reflect a pattern of compromising security arrangements and engaging with anti-national elements. He accused Gandhi of maintaining ties with individuals and organizations detrimental to India’s interests, citing instances of alleged links with countries like China and Pakistan.
The Union Minister emphasized Gandhi’s alleged economic destabilization efforts and his association with entities working against India’s interests. Goyal accused Gandhi of being a puppet of anti-India forces and governments, asserting that his actions undermine the country’s stability and economic well-being. He also criticized the Gandhi family’s historical involvement in compromising national interests.
Recalling instances from the tenures of former Prime Ministers, Goyal accused the Gandhi family of wielding extra-constitutional powers and disrespecting democratic norms. He referenced the Bofors scandal during Rajiv Gandhi’s tenure and alleged compromises of national interest during Indira Gandhi’s time as Prime Minister.
