Piyush Mishra, known for his roles in films like “Gulaal” and “Gangs of Wasseypur,” recently visited the National School of Drama (NSD) campus where he graduated in 1986. In a video shared by the actor, he expressed his joy at returning to the place where his journey began, accompanied by his poem “Wo Purane Din, Wo Suhane Din” playing in the background. Mishra nostalgically pointed out a tree on the campus, likely a spot he frequented during his NSD days.
The versatile artist, who made his acting debut in the movie “Dil Se..” by Mani Ratnam, has been a part of several acclaimed projects including “Pink,” “Maqbool,” and “Rockstar.” Apart from acting, Mishra is also recognized for his work as a lyricist and singer, with notable tracks like “Arre Ruk Ja Re Bandeh” and “Aarambh Hai Prachand” to his credit. His most recent appearance was in the comedy drama “Rahu Ketu” alongside Varun Sharma and Pulkit Samrat.
“Rahu Ketu,” directed by Vipul Vig and produced by Zee Studios and BLive Productions, was released on January 16 this year. Mishra’s visit to NSD reflects his deep connection to his roots and the significant role the institution played in shaping his illustrious career.
