In Madhya Pradesh’s Bundelkhand region, the PM-KUSUM Yojana has become a crucial support for farmers facing irrigation challenges. This initiative is reshaping agriculture by offering dependable irrigation, cutting costs, and increasing incomes. Farmers like Pancham Singh Lodhi and Munna Yadav from Bitli village have embraced self-reliant farming thanks to this scheme.
Pancham Singh, who used to struggle with power outages and high diesel pump costs, now benefits from a solar pump installed under the scheme. With minimal installation expenses after a substantial subsidy, he enjoys uninterrupted irrigation, leading to higher productivity and reduced costs. Munna Yadav, another farmer, has also seen a significant reduction in expenses since switching to a solar pump, eliminating his hefty electricity bills.
The PM-KUSUM Yojana aims to install solar systems in households, empowering farmers and promoting sustainable agriculture. By enhancing irrigation reliability and cutting expenses, this initiative is driving farmers in Bundelkhand towards self-sufficiency, making agriculture more profitable and environmentally friendly.
