PM Modi Attends Grand Indian Diaspora Event in Auckland

Amid thunderous cheers and an electrifying atmosphere, Prime Minister Narendra Modi joined New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon at a vibrant Indian diaspora event in Auckland. The venue resonated with chants of “Modi, Modi” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” as the leaders arrived, receiving a warm reception from the enthusiastic crowd.

Thousands of Indian diaspora members gathered, showcasing colorful cultural performances, patriotic slogans, and traditional attire from various Indian regions. The event featured cultural dance performances, folk music, and a display of Indian Tricolours and New Zealand flags, creating a festive ambiance.

The strong people-to-people ties between India and New Zealand were evident at the event, with the large turnout reflecting the excitement within the Indian community over the Prime Minister’s visit. Prime Minister Modi and Prime Minister Luxon were honored with commemorative jerseys bearing their names and the number “100” during the celebrations.

Members of diverse Indian communities in New Zealand, dressed in traditional costumes representing India’s regions, expressed their anticipation and joy for the Prime Minister’s visit. The attendees eagerly awaited the special occasion, capturing memorable moments on their mobile phones and contributing to the lively atmosphere.
