Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized at a rally in Malda district that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is the key to eradicating the “politics of violence” in West Bengal, similar to its success in other eastern Indian states. PM Modi highlighted the BJP’s governance in Odisha, Tripura, Assam, and Bihar, expressing the need for good governance in West Bengal to foster development and progress.

PM Modi accused the Trinamool Congress of misappropriating funds meant for welfare schemes and obstructing the implementation of central schemes, particularly mentioning the exclusion of the Ayushman Bharat Scheme in West Bengal. He also raised concerns about women’s safety in the state, criticizing the current administration’s performance in this regard.

The Prime Minister urged the people of West Bengal to utilize their voting power to combat corruption and oppression, emphasizing that they hold the key to transforming the existing situation. He highlighted the Union Government’s commitment to the state’s development, citing the inauguration of the first sleeper Vande Bharat express from West Bengal at Malda station.
