Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently spoke with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of Qatar, expressing India’s firm support for Qatar and condemning any violations of its sovereignty. The leaders highlighted the importance of restoring peace in the region through dialogue and diplomacy. PM Modi also appreciated Qatar’s support for the Indian community during challenging times.

In addition to Qatar, PM Modi has engaged in discussions with leaders from UAE, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Bahrain, Oman, and Kuwait in response to the ongoing conflict in Iran and the Gulf region. The Indian Ambassador to Qatar, Vipul, held a virtual meeting with Indian community representatives to address concerns and ensure the welfare of Indian nationals in the country.

Meanwhile, Qatar’s Foreign Ministry strongly denounced Iranian attacks on US embassies in Riyadh and Kuwait, labeling them as blatant violations of international conventions. Qatar expressed solidarity with Saudi Arabia and Kuwait in safeguarding their security and territories. A joint statement by Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, UAE, and the US condemned Iran’s missile and drone attacks across the region, emphasizing the threat to regional stability.
